Of Friendships & Sweet Romance - Chapter 10

So the day after the accidental confessions took place that night, Tiffy,Elise and Chriz woke up very early that morning to go through each of their individual performances that they were going to do with their SHINee oppas on the show which was to be aired 2 days later.

 So as all of them were focused on rehearsing their items, they didn't  even realize the presence of them when they came into the rehearsal studio. And obviously, they seemed rather surprised but yet happy when  they tapped them on their shoulders.

And the rehearsals went on for the rest of the morning until lunchtime where they had alot of fun bonding with amber and krystal subaenims. Also, due to the fact that everyone finished their lunch rather quickly, Onew smiled at Elise and asked: where would you prefer to go after this? As there is still abit of time left. "You shall decide then as i am fine with anywhere as long as i am with you she said with a giggle:"

 Having heard that, Jonghyun and Taemin asked the same question to Chriz and Tiffy and they both of different places in mind. So after lunch, Key, Minho, Amber and Krystal left on their own while the three couples went off for their activities that afternoon before rehearsal again.

3 different scenarios:

At the shopping mall: Onew and Elise were holding hands and walking through the shops when suddenly they stopped at a shop that sold customized couple keychains. Also,given the number of designs they could choose from. Elise had a hard time finding the design she wanted. And shortly after she finally chose what she wanted and told the shop owner how she wanted the keychain to look like.

Sometime later Onew and Elise came back to the shop to collect their couple keychains. When they went off Elise said " Look, aren't these just so cute? And, it represents the both of us too" With that, Onew just gave a smile back to Elise as they continued walking on in the shopping centre.

At the neoprint shop: Chriz was walking around the shop deciding on what machine she wanted to take. A few moments later she said "Jonghyun Oppa! I want to take our pictures in this machine, come over quickly! Chriz said." When Jonghyun walked over to Chriz, she inserted the coins in the coin slot and both of them just go ready to have their shot taken.

As they took their final shot, Chriz couldn't help but to do her ageyo which made Jonghyun burst out in fits of laughter as usual. When the pictures were being processed Chriz said " Jonghyun oppa, thanks for accompanying outside today" Obviously, he just said" as long as you're happy, i am happy as well and he gave her a smile."

Last but not least, over at the park:

Taemin and Tiffy were just taking a stroll and just enjoying each other's company, the flowers, trees and the fresh air around them. Then after walking for a distance, they decided to sit down on the benches to take a rest. At that time Tiffy who was very tired, just leaned on Taemin's shoulder with his arm around her. Surprisingly, after a while she fell asleep and Taemin just let her to continue on sleeping.


Just half and hour before training started the 3 couples went back to the SM building by themselves where they bumped into Key, Minho, Amber and Krystal at the lobby. With that, key asked in a teasing voice " so i presume you guys must have enjoyed yourselves judging from the look of your faces.

Onew, Jonghyun and Taemin are discussing about you guys almost every time we are together and i really can't stand the sweetness in the air already! When the 3 couples heard that they all blushed and there was an awkward silence." But the silence was soon broken by Minho who suggested heading to rehearsal earlier. Having said that, the couples bade goodbye to each other, Amber and Krystal and the all headed off to their individual rehearsals for that afternoon.

Of Friendship & Sweet Romance - Chapter 9

Having confessed their feelings towards each other, the two lovebirds, Jonghyun and Chriz held each other’s hands and proceeded back to their dorm together. While getting out of the elevator on the way to their respective dorms, the rest of the SHINee boys and both Elise and Tiffy, who were going to have Korean BBQ for dinner, “caught” them holding hands and started teasing them.

“Nouideuli wonhadeon reality ga ingonya?” Key exclaimed. “You two are holding hands!”

“Ne! Key hyung… that’s the reality we all wanted!!!” Taemin joined in, giggling.

“Hey, that’s my line isn’t it, Key?!” Jonghyun retorted.

“Chukahaeyo, my dear Chriz!” Elise smiled. “Jonghyun oppa, do treat her well! She’s a nice girl!”

“No matter what, we’re happy that you two are together… we could already tell that you are in love with each other earlier.” Onew said to both Chriz and Jonghyun.

“Onew oppa, you do?!!!” Chriz said, with her eyes wide open.

“Ne, our gut feelings are just as accurate as you girls…” Onew answered, with Minho, Key and Taemin nodding their heads in agreement.

“Onew hyung, no matter what, thanks for your blessings. The same goes to Key, Minho and Taemin too! Thanks guys!” Jonghyun said, with gratitude.

“Have you two eaten? You can join us if you haven’t had dinner. We’re going for Korean BBQ.” Minho asked.

“We haven’t had any dinner yet… at the very mention of it… we’re hungry now.” Jonghyun said, as he smiled at Chriz.

“Let’s go then! “ Key said. “Amber and Krystal are joining us today.”
The group of boys and girls left for the Korean BBQ restaurant and met both Amber and Krystal at the table.

“Annyeong haseyo, SHINee sunbaenims!” Amber and Krystal greeted with a bow.

“Annyeong! Let me introduce the three girls to you, this is Elise, Tiffany - but we call her Tiffy, and Chriz.” Onew introduced, as the three girls greeted both Amber and Krystal with a bow.

“Annyeong haseyo! Onew oppa, actually both Krystal and I have met the girls when they first came for the auditions. They’re really nice girls!”

“Amber and Krystal sunbaenims, it’s really nice to see you girls again!” Elise said, cheerfully.

“Yeah, Amber and Krystal sunbaenims, it’s been a while… it is really nice seeing you again!” Chriz and Tiffy said.

“Ohhh! We see that Jonghyun sunbaenim and Chriz hoobae are now an item!” Amber and Krystal teased, as they saw them holding each other’s hand. “We’re really happy for both of you!”

The group of boys and girls ordered their food and enjoyed each other’s company. While eating, Onew was so sweet that he “cooked” the meat for Elise, the girl he had a major crush on, while Taemin fed Tiffy with the meat and veggies he made for her. Jonghyun jokingly said something which made Key, Minho, Amber and Krystal burst out in laughter.

“Oh wowwww… I think I’m gonna “die” of sugar rush… it’s so sweet on my left and on my right and in the centre (referring to Chriz). Hehehehe!!!” Jonghyun joked. “Onew hyung… I think I know who the mysterious girl is now… and Taemin… you adored Tiffy right from the time the girls got hospitalized right?”
Onew, Elise, Taemin and Tiffy blushed.

“Okay, okay, Jonghyun, I confess. Yes, Elise is the girl I had a major crush on. Don’t be shocked, because I mean what I said.” Onew spoke. “Elise sweets, will you accept me as your boyfriend and allow me to love you with all my life?”

Elise, feeling touched and surprised at the same time, gave a nod with tears of joy welling up in her eyes.

“Ermmmm… how should I put it? I… I… I realized that Tiffy and I had so much in common and I… fell for her unknowingly. I am happy just by seeing her.” Taemin stammered as he plucked up his courage to continue with whatever he has to say. “Tiffy… will you… accept my love… and… and be my girlfriend?”

Tiffy’s face turned pink right at the moment she hears the words coming from Taemin’s mouth, with her jaw dropped for a short while. Without saying much, Tiffy gave Taemin a big hug as her answer to him.

“You’ll treat me well, right?” Tiffy said softly.

“Definitely… You’re the love of my life.” Taemin assured.

“Elise and Tiffy unnie, I’m extremely happy for both of you too… little did I think that such a sweet encounter would happen to you girls on the same day as me… I’m really really happy!!” Chriz said.

“It’s such a wonderful day today… Key hyung, Amber and Krystal, shall we go shopping after dinner? We’ll let our three couples here have some time for themselves.” Minho asked.

“Great idea, Minho! It’s been some time since we went shopping together!” Key said. “Any objection, Amber, Krystal?”

“Nice! Let’s go shopping later then!” Krystal said. “Amber said she needs to buy something earlier.”

“So we’ll see you guys and girls back at the dorms later!” Minho said to the three couples amongst them.

The group finished up their meal and left for their own activities and bade farewell to each other before the couples went for their date.

“Elise sweets, shall we go have ice cream?” Onew asked.

“Yayyy! I love ice cream… hehehe!” Elise giggled. “You know something? I think we can be called the Dubu Couple because I fall down as often as you do… hahaha!”

“HAHAHAHAHA! Dubu Couple!!! What a cute name you have for us, sweets…” Onew laughed. “Wait for me. I’ll go get us the ice cream.”

The Dubu Couple got their ice cream, both Onew and Elise started feeding and teasing each other like any other couples.

“Oppa, I was really surprised when you said that you had a major crush on me… I didn’t even dare to think that you’ll fall in love with me… but come to think about our encounters, I think it’s really cute and amusing.” Elise said with a a cheeky smile.

“Yeah… funny, isn’t it? I was the one who was really harsh on you but now we ended up as a couple. Hehehe.” Onew giggled.

“Right… I was really intimidated… by you!” Elise teased.
“Mianhae… mianhae… rest assure that I’ll treat you way better than I used to… I give you my word.” Onew answered, as Elise continued showing him her affection by feeding him with ice cream.

Meanwhile at Jonghyun’s side…

“Chriz, where do you want to go? Anywhere in mind?” Jonghyun asked, with his charming smile hanging on his face.

“Jonghyun oppa, anywhere is fine… it is fine even if you want to practice our dance for the upcoming performance!” Chriz smile, sweetly.

“Come, follow me!” Jonghyun said, keeping Chriz in suspense.

“Where are you taking me?” Chriz asked.

“Just follow me and you’ll find out later.” Jonghyun answered, cheekily.

After a fifteen minutes walk, Jonghyun and Chriz arrived at the Ferris Wheel and Jonghyun took Chriz for a ride in the Ferris Wheel.

“Oh my! It’s really beautiful!” Chriz exclaimed, feeling touched.

“Let’s take a couple photo with my phone!” Jonghyun said, as he held Chriz close to him. “Ready? Smile!”

The couple photo of them turned out really cute and sweet. Chriz saw the beautiful picture of them and she couldn’t help but showed her aegyo to Jonghyun and asked him to send her the photo. Lastly, at Taemin’s...

“Tiffy-ah, did I scare you with my confession earlier?” Taemin asked.

“Taeminnie oppa, you nearly scared me to death you know!” Tiffy said, with her voice filled with aegyo.

“Mianhamnida… Come, let me push the swing for you…“ Taemin said.

“Taeminnie oppa, I’m very happy to have you by my side… really touched that you love and care so much for me too…” Tiffy said.

“To think that the little encounters we had earlier actually brought us together… hmmm… it’s really amazing…” Taemin said in his cute and innocent voice.

“You were quite scary at that time, especially during that practice when my fingers keep crashing into yours…”

“Ah…. Really?” Taemin asked, out of curiosity.

“YES!! I was actually quite scared of you but… you somehow showed the gentleness in you when my unnie and my dongsaeng fell ill.” Tiffy answered.

“Mianhada... I apologize for that…” Taemin replied. “Ah, what time is it now?”

Tiffy checked her watch and exclaimed.

“Woah! It’s almost 11:00pm! Let’s go back to our dorms now… we have another practice tomorrow!” Tiffy said.

The couple left to proceed back to their dorms. They bumped into Onew and Elise, Jonghyun and Chriz, as well as both Key and Minho while they were on the way to the lift lobby. The three couples, with the two boys, couldn’t help but burst out into hysterical fits of laughter for the accidental confessions that took place over dinner at the Korean BBQ restaurant.

Of Friendship & Sweet Romance - Chapter 8

After lunch, before the SHINee oppas left the girls dorm to head off for their dance rehearsal, they said with a huge smile on their faces, "Thanks for the wonderful and delicious lunch! We will definitely make lunch for you girls some other day too!"

"Gamsa hamnida! Hope SHINee oppas have a nice day!" The girls smiled and replied. Immediately after the SHINee oppas left, the girls started discussing on what they are going to do for the rest of the day.

"Why don't we go down to the dance studio to practice too?" Tiffany suggested.

Elise and Chriz, who do not have any other ideas at the moment, decided to go with Tiffany's suggestion. The three of them arrived the studio for practice thirty minutes later. The main reason why Tiffany, Elise and Chriz worked so hard is because they wanted to give their best in the performance, for their families, friends and fans who supports them.

Meanwhile as they were practicing hard and giving their 100% effort in the dance routine, it came to Chriz's solo dance part and she missed it completely as her mind was preoccupied with something else. Tiffany and Elise knew there was something wrong for sure. As soon as they have finished their dance rehearsal later that evening, Tiffany and Elise went to Chriz and asked her if she is okay. 

"Chriz, we noticed that you have been out of sorts ever since we started our dance practice this afternoon. What's wrong?" Tiffany asked. 

Feeling vexed, Chriz heaved a huge sigh and answered, "It's about my feelings towards Jonghyun oppa. No matter where or when, as long as he appears in front of me, my heart would start beating very fast and just by seeing at him, even the worst day can become good out of a sudden. I'm very sorry for hiding it from you two for so long."

Tiffany and Elise weren't surprised to hear that coming from their maknae Chriz.

"What's most important now... you should tell Jonghyun oppa about how you feel towards him. Never be afraid nor shy, because all of us, including the rest of our SHINee oppas, will always be behind you!" Elise said with a smile.

Hearing her unnie's words, Chriz felt relieved and happy that she has finally let it all out and most importantly, getting the love and support from her unnies and their SHINee oppas.

Shortly after Tiffany and Elise left the dance studio, Chriz sent a text message to Jonghyun oppa, telling him to meet her at their usual meeting place where no one knew about. As Chriz was anticipating to meet Jonghyun oppa that night, she couldn't help feeling a little nervous inside at the same time.

Time passed very quickly and Jonghyun oppa arrived and saw that Chriz was already there waiting for him. Jonghyun tapped her shoulder lightly to indicate his arrival.

"What is it that you asked me to meet you here for?" Jonghyun asked.

"Oppa, I... I.... I have something to tell you." Chriz stuttered in nervousness. 

"What is it then?" Jonghyun oppa asked in the serious tone which made Chriz feel more nervous.

After a long silence Chriz finally plucked up her courage and said, "Jonghyun oppa, I have been liking you since the very beginning when I first met you and the other SHINee oppas, together with my two unnies Tiffany and Elise... I just hope that we can still be close friends..."

Before Chriz can even finish off what she was trying to say, Jonghyun gave her a big hug and replied with a giggle, "I hope you won't faint from hearing what I am going to tell you next... Actually... I feel the same way towards you from the very beginning too. It is just that I couldn't find the right time to tell you about it and to tell you the truth. I feel kind of shy to even ask you whether we can talk." 

Upon hearing Jonghyun oppa's words, Chriz felt truly blessed and ecstatic that her feelings towards him were not one sided after all. Chriz and Jonghyun's confession towards each other, marked the start of the love story between the two of them.

Of Friendship & Sweet Romance - Chapter 7

Onew and Jonghyun were still having their guys’ talk at the balcony area.

“When the time is right?” Jonghyun asked.

“Yes. I do not want to rush into things. Neither do I want her to feel pressured.” Onew said, in a mature voice.

“But… Onew hyung, I am still curious about the identity of the mysterious girl!” Jonghyun said in an "innocent” voice, as though he is imitating Taemin.

“On the other hand, I will not pressure you into telling me who the mysterious girl is, because you’re our hyung. You’ve got our support.” Jonghyun continued, with a charming smile.

“Thanks brother!” Onew replied. “Let’s go join the rest of them… or they’ll be questioning our ‘disappearance’. I’m sure you wouldn’t want that.”

“You’re right. Better get back to the group before they “interrogate” us for disappearing.” Jonghyun said with a cheesy smile.

They entered the living room and saw key, taemin and the girls dancing to the gal groups dance like crazy.

“Yaaaaah! Are you forgetting your hyung who danced ‘three little bears’ like mad?! That’s not your way dancing to ‘Bo Peep Bo Peep’!” Onew joined them and took the place at the middle.

“Look and memorize the steps which I will not repeat!”

“Yes! Songsaengnim!” The girls shouted excitedly.

“Hyung! This is my lesson! How can you steal the girls from me?!” Key dragged Tiffany and Chriz behind him not wanting them to get stolen by Onew.

“Yah! Yah!” Why don’t you do it together?!”

After Jonghyun said out those sentences, Onew quickly dragged him over, not forgetting Minho too.

“Wait! It won’t be fun without any accessory!” Elise grinned at Tiffany and Chriz as signal and they went to their room to get the cat-ear hat and some cat paws.

"Where did you guys get these things?!" Jonghyun curiously asked.

"Practice equipments?" Elise laughed.

The girls wore the cats’ ears headbands while the boys received the cats’ paws and they had lots of fun doing the cute dance together.

Just at this point of time, Elise suddenly remembered something.

"Minho oppa! I remember seeing you dance the cute Dooly dance... show it to us again pleaseeeee?" Elise said, showing her aegyo. “We’ll give our dear oppas a surprise in return for that.”

Minho patted their heads mischievously and agreed on the condition that the rest of the SHINee members must do it together with him.

“I’ll do it on the condition that my hyungs and maknae must do it with me.” Minho smirked at the other SHINee members.

“GREAT IDEA, MINHO OPPA!!!!” The girls exclaimed out of excitement.

The guys did the cute “Dooly” dance and made the girls laugh till they can’t stop. In return, Elise, Tiffy and Chriz did the Ring Ding Dong dance for their SHINee oppas.

“Wow!!! You girls did our Ring Ding Dong dance so well! We are deeply touched and truly amazed!”

“You must have practiced it for a long time!” Taemin said.

“Well, our unnie Elise went to learn the dance long before we came to Korea and she taught us the full dance. I can proudly tell SHINee oppas that she practices the dance with her heart.” Chriz said.

Hearing what Chriz had mentioned, Onew felt deeply touched like the rest of his team members and it made them appreciate the girls even more than before.

“I must tell you that our Elise unnie even went to learn and me… hehehe a bit of other songs by you guys… Juliette, Replay, Jo Jo and Love Like Oxygen. She adores...like Tiffy unnie!"

This little secret simply melted Onew’s heart because he never knew that the girls are this passionate towards singing and dancing.

"Now I know... Absolutely... I was wrong seeing the girls that way the first time... Now I feel regretful of my wrong judgement! The girls are lovely, hardworking, and cute. I should see them as my dongsaengs from no on. Or maybe just two of them..." Onew thought.

"Oh... Time really past sooo fast! It's 1 pm now! Girls! Why don't we make some bibimbap for our SHINee oppas before they go home for some rest?" Elise hugged her dongsaengs and they quickly headed to the kitchen.

"Aigoo... These kids! I'll help you guys!" Key headed to the kitchen but Tiffany prevent him from doing so.

"Oppa should wait at the living room! Today's lunch... We'll take care of it!"

Before he went to the living room, he turned wanted to say some things but Chriz cut him out.
"We promise we won't mess up the kitchen!" Chriz giggled.

Key smiled and went to the living room to join with the other members.Nearly half hour, the girls came out from the kitchen with two big bowls of bibimbap and eight small bowl for them to eat.

"Chal mogoseumnida!!!" They all said together and started eating their lunch and the boys enjoyed the food that the girls prepared specially for them.

Of Friendship & Sweet Romance - Chapter 6

The next morning the girls woke up early, washed up and went up to their roof garden to enjoy the fresh air.

“Mmmmm~! It feels so good to breathe in fresh air! It’s been a long time since I enjoyed my morning like this!” Elise said cheerfully.

“You’re so right, Elise unnie! I finally realized that mornings can be this nice and pleasant!” Chriz exclaimed in excitement.

“Omo!!!! It’s feels so nice right now and the weather is simply fantastic!” Tiffany said, gleefully.

Just at this moment, the SHINee boys went over to their dorm and knocked on the door. Getting no response, they got worried and immediately opened the door with the spare key that was given to them. Realizing that the girls were not there, the boys searched for them frantically until Jonghyun realized that roof garden door at the top of the stairway is open, and he signaled his brothers to climb up there with him. Seeing that Chriz was at the roof garden, he immediately ran over with his jacket and hugged Chriz tightly.

“Chriz, my dear Chriz, do you know how worried I was, when you’re not in the house? What if you got sick again, being in the cold like this without a jacket with you?” Jonghyun stated, while he threw his jacket over Chriz to keep her warm.

“Mianhae Jonghyun oppa! It really touched my heart to know that oppa care so much about me…” Chriz said to Jonghyun, with a sunshine smile on her face. “Oppa is blushing… hehehe!”

“Oh? Am I?” Jonghyun said, trying to act as if nothing happened.

“Yes, you are blushing!” Onew, Key, Minho, Taemin, Elise and Tiffy said in unison.

“Our “bling bling” Jonghyun hyung is obviously in love…” Key said in mischief.

“… with Chriz!!!” Taemin added.

The rest chuckled at Key and Taemin’s remark. Meanwhile, Taemin took his scarf and put it around Tiffy’s neck and threw his jacket over Tiffy’s shoulders and he gave her an innocent smile upon doing so.

“Here’s the warmest scarf and jacket to protect you from the cold weather.” Taemin said, giving Tiffy a sense of warmth.

“Thank you Taemin oppa, I’m touched… really touched by your kindness! Gamsa hamnida!” Tiffy replied.

“Come, put on this winter cap and throw on the jacket. Manager noona got both items for you on my behalf when she told me that you need a couple more winter jackets. I’m sure the cap and the jacket looks cute on you…“ Onew said, showing his gentleness unknowingly.

“Gomawoyo Onew oppa! I love it very much and thank you for everything!” Elise said, expressing her gratitude.

“Ah, you’re welcome…” Onew said in his cutesy dubu voice.

“Hahaha! I never knew that Onew oppa could be this cute… hehehehehe!!” Elise teased. Onew smiled with his face turning pink, out of shyness.

“Girls, we’ve prepared breakfast for all of us at our dorm. Come over to our dorm and join us!” Key said, as Minho poked Key with his index finger to get everyone over to their dorm to have breakfast.

“Ah~ our oppas invited us over to their dorm. Am I dreaming? OMG!!!” Elise thought.

“Really? Our SHINee oppas invited us to their dorm for breakfast?” Chriz asked herself, as though she was in a dream.

“Hmmmm… It feels just like a dream… SHINee oppas made breakfast for us and invited us over to their dorm... heehee!” Tiffy giggled to herself. “It shows that they have built up their trust in us!”

“It seems like a dream to you girls isn’t it? We heard from manager noona that you girls liked us, our dancing and our music even before you came for the auditions… You’re not dreaming, my sisters… we guys worked together to make the breakfast for all of us!” Minho said, with a charming smile, similar to baby Yoogeun’s.

“We’ll really enjoy it a lot! Thanks oppas!” Elise said with a cute toothy grin.

They went down to SHINee’s dorm and had breakfast together and the whole group of eight, enjoyed the meal very much. The girls said something.

“Oppas, next time we shall prepare breakfast to share with you guys too… we really appreciate whatever you have done for us.” Tiffany spoke.

“Kuraeyo? We’re really gonna look forward to it!!” Jonghyun replied.

“Hmmm… it’ll be interesting to find out how good you girls are at cooking…” Key gave out a cheeky smirk.

“I should say ‘Yayyyyy!’… because… that’s something I’d been looking forward to! Hehehehe!!” Taemin remarked, mischievously.

“I nearly forgot that you’re still a growing kid, Taemin! Hahahahaha!!” Minho teased. “But seriously, I agree with Key hyung. It will be interesting to find out for ourselves how good you girls are in terms of cooking.”

“My hunch tells me that the food they prepare will be just as good as Key’s cooking! Especially my performance partner Elise.” Onew mumbled.

“Onew hyung, you’re blushing while you said that your hunch tells you that the girls’ cooking will just be as good as our brother Key, especially your performance partner Elise!” Jonghyun said cheekily.

“Ehhhhhhh????!!!! I don’t mean that way. What I meant is that I think Elise’s cooking skills will be just as good because she’s the eldest among the group and she’s expected to take care of her dongsaengs.” Onew said as his face turns pink again.

“Aigoo!!! Onew hyung… your face and your words don’t tally with each other. Your face just turned pink again. Hehehe!” Taemin said while grabbing hold of the chance to tease his Onew hyung.

The other two guys, Key and Minho, together with Chriz and Tiffy, nodded their heads in agreement to what Jonghyun and Taemin said, leaving Onew and Elise feeling embarrassed at the same timing. Chriz took a walk around the roof garden after breakfast. Jonghyun went to look for her with two cup of ginger tea, one for Chriz and the other for himself.

“Here you are, Chriz! You’ve just recovered, do have some ginger tea to keep yourself warm inside.” Jonghyun said, with lots of care and concern for her.

“Gomawo, Jonghyun oppa!” Chriz responded. “It’s amazingly nice and sweet!”

“Gwaenchanayo! I am glad that you enjoy drinking the ginger tea.” Jonghyun replied.

“Let’s just relax a bit over here together, if you want.” Chriz said with a sunny smile on her face.

While seated down at the garden bench, Jonghyun had tons of flashbacks regarding what his SHINee brothers had said about him falling in love with Chriz.

“Am I really in love with Chriz?” he asked himself in his own thoughts. More flashbacks came into his mind.

“Omo!!!!!!!! I think I’ve really fallen in love with her… I got so worried about her when we found the girls not in their dorm just now. And I even gave her a big warm hug and asked her if she knew that I was so dead worried about her when we found out that they were not inside their dorm.” Jonghyun thought to himself. “And I actually missed Chriz terribly when I don’t see her! Nouideuli wonhadeon reality ingoya?!!!”

Moments later when the group of boys and girls got back into the boys’ dorm, Key, Minho, Taemin. Elise, Tiffy and Chriz went to the open area of the living room when the girls bugged Key to teach them the girl-group dances he knew of. Jonghyun pulled Onew to the balcony area and had a bit of guys’ talk with each other.

“Key oppa!!! Teach us how to dance to SNSD’s ‘Oh!’ pleassssseeeeeeee?” Chriz started talking in the cartoon voice that never fails to amuse Elise and Tiffy. The three boys burst out giggling, being amused by the ‘cartoon character’ in Chriz.

“So we’ve got Donald Duck and Spongebob Squarepants amongst us!” Taemin said, while struggling to fight his giggling.

“Aigooo… I didn’t know that we’ve got such hidden talents among the girls! How amazing!!” Minho said as he was laughing hard.

“Oh my!! Here comes Spongebob again!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!” Elise said, as she burst out into hysterical fits of laughter together with Tiffy.

Meanwhile, at the balcony area…
“Hyung, could I ask you something?” Jonghyun asked.

“Yes, of course. Like you said, I’m your hyung. What is it about?” Onew replied.

“I have been getting strange emotions. I missed Chriz a lot whenever I don’t see her around and this does not happen to just anyone but her. Do you think I’ve fallen for her?”

“Well, Jonghyun, it’s really obvious that you have fallen for Chriz. Even Key and Taemin could tell that you’re in love with her. What are you going to do about this?”

“I guess I will remain silent on this for the moment. I don’t want her to get distracted from her trainings that she’ll be undergoing with Elise and Tiffy. But I will confess it to her when the time comes.”

“Okay, that’s good.” Onew said.

“How about you, hyung? What’s your outlook on your own love life?” Jonghyun asked out of curiosity.

“Well… there is a girl I have a huge crush on…”

“Who? Who? Who? Tell me quick!” Jonghyun responded in excitement.

“I’ll tell you when the time is right…” Onew said sheepishly, keeping Jonghyun in suspense.

[One-shot] Painful Love

“Narsha-ah… Do you have time for this Saturday? I want to celebrate our 3rd dating anniversary” A boy sounded through the phone.

“Hankyung chagiya… Don’t you have lessons this Saturday?” Narsha asked.

“For you, I’ll permit for that day. It’s our dating anniversary at all” Hankyung smiled at the phone.

“Really? Woah… that's so sweet of you! Saranghaeyo!”

“Saranghae! Narsha-ah, now go to sleep so you’ll be just as perfect as a princess on Saturday”

“Alright my dear! You go to sleep too, annyonghi jumuseyo!” Narsha hangs up the phone.

Hankyung placed the phone handle back and goes to his work desk. He stared at an envelope devastated. Thoughts and questions keep running on his mind.

‘Am I making the right decision? Will she be happy?’

Hankyung hit his desk with anger. He couldn’t take it anymore. He can explodes anytime. He goes to the kitchen and take out some cold water from the refrigerator to chill the ‘bomb’ inside him. He leaned on his bed, squeezing his bolster hoping the fear would disappear. He falls asleep after he feels quite relieved.

“Tiffany~ Let’s go shopping~” Narsha comes to her best friend happily.

“Narsha baby, you sure are happy today! What’s up? You got 75 on calculus? Or You got free breakfast at Mrs. Choi’s?! C’mon! You’re gonna tell your dearest and bestest friend, right?” Tiffany smirked at her.

“Tiffany! Stop teasing my calculus marks! I might be crazy if I got 75 in calculus! And not the breakfast! Mrs. Choi never even give her son a free breakfast everytime he eats there. Actually… Hankyung wants to celebrate our 3rd dating anniversary!!!”

“So it’s you guys’ 3rd anniversary already?! It’s sooo fast!!! I don’t even had a boyfriend yet! Congrats to you anyway!”

“Thanks Tiffany! Uh oh… don’t worry, you’ll find one soon! Now I wanna go buy new clothes, shoes, make-up things, accessory, anything would make me look good on that day!” Narsha starts her ‘princess sickness’ AGAIN.

“Narsha sshi! You can go out if you are not gonna study here!” A sound at the podium sounded.

As thought, the teacher stands at the podium, right in front of her.

“Songsaengnim, Mianhae!” Narsha quietly walks to her seat while glaring at Tiffany.

Tiffany smirked at her in a mischievous way.

“Tiffany! Let’s go now!! Or my things at the store will be snatched away!”

“You don’t even buy those yet!”

Tiffany shoved all her books hurriedly into her bag. She didn’t care about the messy books, she most cared that she’ll be dragged like a cow by Narsha. Her fear reached the jackpot. Narsha dragged her out the room, school and looks for taxi and asked the driver to rush to the shopping centre.

She gets all she wanted for the date with Hankyung, so many that she can’t carry the things she bought.

24th May, their 3rd dating anniversary day

Narsha wore her ‘Hardrock’ t-shirt with her leather jacket on, her favourite denim shorts with stockings, and boots. Putting on some make-up, accessories, hoping she would look perfect on Hankyung’s eyes.

Dot dot dot dot dot~

Her cellphone rang.

“Oh~ Hankyung chagiya… What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, I just want to make sure this little princess of mine didn’t disappear on this important day to make a surprise party like the previous anniversary.” Hankyung laughed.

“Hankyung! I’m not~ It’s your turn for a surprise” Narsha giggled.

“Alright, alright. I’ll wait for you ‘k? See you soon”

“Bye darling… see you in a few minutes” Narsha hangs up the phone and continue her make-up.

“Oh… it’s time, umma! I’ll leave now!” Narsha shouted from the first floor.

Hankyung saw Narsha was walking cheerfully and sneaks to her quietly. Right when she stopped, Hankyung took out the tulips he had on his right hand behind Narsha.and placed it in front of her face.

“Hankyung chagiya! You surprised me!” Narsha laughed.

“Let’s go now” Hankyung took her hand and they walk together.

They had really fun tiem together, going to themepark, eating ice cream, taking pictures, holding hands, buying souvenirs. Hankyung leads her to a café and seat her down.

“I’ll go get you some drink ok?” Narsha was about to go, but Hankyung pull her to sit.

“Narsha… I want to tell you something.”

The atmosphere become tensed as Hankyung started out those sentences.

“I…I...I'll have to go to China” Hankyung’s facial expression changed.

“Why? Why your face changed? Is that means you are leaving me?”

“Narsha…. I don’t want it to happen too, but it’s my parents’ will, and I can’t deny it. Please….. just forget me…. Find a new person that will care for you more than me.” Hankyung cried.

“No… what do you mean by finding a new person? I just want to be with you! Don’t you remember our promise on our 2nd anniversary? We promised to be together forever” Narsha grabbed his hand

“Narsha… That promise doesn’t last any longer now, please let me go…” Hankyung remove her hand from his and leave her alone there.

Narsha was desperate, she still can’t forget Hankyung. She believes deep in her heart that Hankyung will never leave her. She goes to the hairdresser, cut her hair short like the 1st time they got together, listens to her mp3 which contains of their favourite songs that they always listen together, desperately waiting for his phonecalls, walks on the road they 1st met. Anything that can make her recall her memories with Hankyung.

“Narsha…. Don’t be foolish… Hankyung won’t come back… he asked you to forget him right? Then you should… He wants you to live even better without him by your side…” Tiffany poked Narsha’s head softly comforting her.

“Tiffany… How am I suppose to live without Hankyung? He’s my precious… The one who never fails to makes me happy every time… The one that cares about me… Be with me when I have affairs with you… my parents… any one… How can I forget him?!” Narsha cried.

Seeing her best friend desperately waiting for Hankyung, she couldn’t help but to tell her the truth.

“Narsha…. Frankly… Hankyung has told me about this thing unknown by you, he wants me to tell you… he’s can’t be by your side anymore… he’s continuing his father’s company there, and of course… his father……..” Tiffany stopped.

“His father what, Tiffany!? Tell me!!” Narsha grasped on Tiffany’s arms tightly.

“His father……. Had set a engagement with the daughter of the President of Wong Company, the biggest company ever in China… He wants you to forget him no matter what. Narsha…. Just forget him… Don’t torture yourself like this.”

Narsha’s eyes got bigger and more tears were flowing from her eyes. Her nose got runny. Now she can’t take it anymore. Tiffany hugged her best friend tightly, comforting her.

Eunhyuk, Leeteuk & Donghae, who are close friends to Hankyung, Narsha and Tiffany, came to find out about what happened between Hankyung and Narsha and they decided to pay Narsha a visit that very evening. The trio arrived at Narsha’s apartment and pressed the doorbell.

“Guys! Glad that you all came by… Narsha’s been crying for the whole day and refused to eat anything.” Tiffany said, feeling helpless. “She can’t go on like that… else, she’ll collapse.”

“Narsha-ah, we heard about what happened. Do brace yourself up. We believe that Hankyung loves you more than anyone else, but he couldn’t defy his father. He told you to forget him because he wanted to protect you from harm. He’ll be really heartbroken to know that you’re torturing yourself like this.” Donghae said softly, as the three guys gave her a warm hug.

“Yeah, Donghae is right, and we know Hankyung long enough to know his character. Don’t torture yourselve anymore. Here, have something to eat.” Eunhyuk added on. “It pains us to see you like that because you’re like a sister to us.”

“Narsha, lift up your head.” Leeteuk said, as he wiped away her tears, as he remembered something very important relating to what happened between Hankyung and Narsha. “You still have us, your close friends around you. You’ve got to live your life well if you love Hankyung. At a time like this, his way of interpreting your love for him as his girlfriend, is when you totally forget him. He has secretly mentioned this to me, Donghae and Eunhyuk because he is from a reputable family owning a huge business enterprise, and as such, his parents had been forcing him to accept the marriage arrangement and they threatened him that they’ll harm you if he defy them.”

“Hankyung would rather sacrifice himself than seeing you getting harmed. He’s always such a nice guy, he’s always so thoughtful and caring towards everyone.” Eunhyuk said with a heave of sigh.

“So, my dear Narsha, don’t feel sad anymore. Eat this… we guys bought it specially for you because we knew it’s your favourite.”

With that said, Narsha hugged Tiffany and the three guys, with tears in her eyes. “My dears, the four of you have been my friends who are so close to my heart. Thanks for standing by me when I really need it. For your sake and mine too, I shall brace myself up and step out of the sadness. Leeteuk, Donghae, Eunhyuk and Tiffany, gomawoyo !”

“Narsha! Wait for me!” Tiffany runs at her, catching her breathe with all her might.

“Yah! Ppalli ppalli!” Narsha waved her hand at Tiffany.

“Narsha-ah… You really got a full power!” Tiffany tries to laugh, still trying to catch her breathe.

“Doesn’t the air feels good?” Narsha smiled at her.

“Yeah! By the way… Narsha… why are you changing your phone number? You give me a shock because I can’t find you, you know?!”

“Hahaha… Mianhae mianhae… Just… Wanting to forget him?” Narsha smiled.

‘She sure changed now’ Tiffany thought to herself.

“Hey! My mom asks you to drop by at our new house later! So you’ll be kidnapped for a while!” Narsha laughed.

“Alright! Narsha baby… Your hair sure grows sooo fast!” Tiffany brushed her hair.

“A change of style? Let’s run again!” Narsha pulls Tiffany with all her might.

“AGAIN?!?!” Tiffany could do nothing but letting herself being pulled away.

Narsha throws all her memories with Hankyung, Growing her hair long, throws away her old phone sim card, delete all the songs she used to listen with Hankyung, moved to a new territory, join a ‘no-boyfriend meeting’, anything that can make her remember Hankyung.

Their memories together, will fly away with the wind, to a far far away place.
Time passed by quickly in a blink of an eye and two years had passed. Eunhyuk who has always loved Narsha secretly, confessed his love to Narsha, after Leeteuk, Donghae and Tiffany encouraged him to tell Narsha that he loves her.

“Narsha-ah, I… I have something to confess…” Eunhyuk said, timidly.

“What is it about, Eunhyuk?” Narsha wondered.

“SA…SAR…SARANGHAE!!! Narsha-ah, will you accept me as your boyfriend?” Eunhyuk confessed, loud and clear.
Narsha smiled, and she considered for a while and that made Eunhyuk feel like dying from the extreme level of nervousness.

“Eunhyuk-ah, you have been standing by me all these while and I am aware of your feelings for me. I want to tell you that I’ve stepped out of the darkest days of my life when Hankyung left me. I’ve totally stepped out of the past. So… I’m your girlfriend now! Saranghaeyo!!”
The painful love between Hankyung and Narsha is finally gone and the sweetness between Eunhyuk and Narsha blossomed.

Of Friendship & Sweet Romance - Chapter 5

Chapter 5

Elise, Tiffany, and Chriz were discharged from the hospital that very afternoon, as soon as they regained consciousness. SHINee helps them get into the car.

Jonghyun takes a thick jacket and put it on for Chriz so that she wouldn’t catch a cold. Taemin lends Tiffany his scarf and Onew supported Elise by her side and walked with her.

“Oppa, you guys can return to your dorm, we promise you guys that we’ll rest well.” Elise said as soon as they arrived at their dorm.

“No, we must take care of the three of you!” Onew said, as he open the door for the girls and leads them to the sofa.

Key went onto checking the refrigerator.

“Hey, there’s no food here, Minho-ah, let’s go buy some food!”

Key took his jacket and walks out the room, followed by Minho.

“Chriz, do go have a good rest at the comfort of your room. We’ll wake you up when it is time for dinner.”

Chriz went to her bedroom, accompanied by Jonghyun, who tucked her into bed.

“You two must have some rest too… I believe you wouldn’t have had a good rest at the hospital because of the noise.” Jonghyun said to Elise and Tiffany, and both girls were escorted to their own rooms by Onew and Taemin.

Later, Key and Minho returns to the girls’ dorm with a few plastic bags full of food and ingredients. Jonghyun, Taemin and Onew went over to them quietly, for fear of disturbing the girls. They prepared dinner, ddeok mandu gook (rice cake soup with dumplings) while the girls were resting. Knowing that the girls didn’t have dinner with them the previous evening, they prepared a heartwarming meal for the girls.

“Girls, dinner is ready!” Key wakes the girls up and lead them to the dining room.

The five boys and the three girls ate the soup in silence, no other words came out of their mouths other than ‘Is it delicious?’

“Hyung, you didn’t put any wasabi in it right?” Innocent Taemin asked Jonghyun with a little giggle, breaking the silence.

“Of course not! Why would I do so?” Jonghyun answered, slightly angered.

“Is there anything wrong with ‘wasabi inside the dumpling’?” Tiffany asked, oblivious about the reason behind it.

“You girls still don’t know the story?” Minho smirked at Jonghyun.

They shook their head as a sign of ‘I don’t know’.

“I’ll tell you guys then, Jonghyun hyung made the dumplings and he put some, no not some, but a damn lot of wasabi in it! And guess what? He ate his own ‘creation’!” Taemin laughed. “I nearly ate it too but luckily I didn’t! Hahahahahahaha!!!”

They all burst out laughing at Jonghyun and his explosive dumplings after hearing what Taemin said, like the way Minho did.

“Hey! It is the reality they wanted, okay?!” Jonghyun answered feeling a little bit offended, as he munched on his dumpling.

But the laugher and teasing of Jonghyun ‘the wasabi dumpling dimwit’ still didn’t stop until chriz said….

“Hey oppas, unnies, stop teasing Jonghyun oppa will you?! Wasabi is really an irresistible spicy evil thing and he just wants to make the show more interesting by putting wasabi in the dumpling to play a prank on Taemin oppa.” Chriz defended jonghyun.

“Chriz ah, don’t tell me you’ve fallen for our “bling bling” Jonghyun hyung?” Key blurted out those words and winked at Chriz in a mischievous way.

“Key! What are you talking?! Just eat your meal will you?!” Jonghyun retorted.

With Jonghyun’s reaction, Onew and Minho made his face turn more red, not out of anger but out of embarrassment.

“Aha!!! You’re defending Chriz like the same way she did for you… wow… you two sure behaved more and more like a couple!” Onew giggled, and Minho burst out laughing like the way he laughed at Taemin playing the “unstable air plane that could crash anytime” with baby Yoogeun. Both Chriz and Jonghyun were blushing in embarrassment.

After the dinner, they re-enacted the story of Chunhyang and made the girls laugh even harder and kept them really entertained.

Elise went into the kitchen and poured 5 glasses of fresh milk for SHINee, for taking care of them since morning. “Oppas, thanks for taking care of us. Have the warm milk. That helps you sleep well.”

It was late and SHINee said goodbye to the girls.

“Girls, we’ll come over again tomorrow morning. We’re supposed to take care of you girls as promised to manager hyung and manager noona. Manager noona has given us one spare set of you dorm keys.”

“Okay, we should see oppas tomorrow then!” Elise, Tiffany and Chriz waved goodbye to the boys.

“Annyeonghi jumuseyo, SHINee oppa!” Elise, Tiffany and Chriz made a formal bow.

The girls went back to the living room and had a chat.

“Unnie, I can see that SHINee sunbaes are really good to us. They even took care of us when we were ill. OMG!” Chriz said while hugging the teddy bear which Taemin Oppa gave to tiffany, feeling the pleasantness of the boys.

“Yeah, we are getting closer to our sunbaes already!” Elise said with excitement

“But unnie… I’m wondering how will our next practice goes… will it be as good as what we did that last night? I’m afraid…” Chriz hugged the teddy bear which she lent from tiffany even harder like she’s squeezing the bear.

“Chriz, don’t worry too much, no matter what, we must do our best for ourselves and for our SHINee sunbaes!” Tiffany puts her hand on Chriz’s shoulder. Oh, and don’t squeeze my baby bear that way chriz, he looks like he’s going to suffocate in your arms already she laughed.

“Alright girls! Let’s go to sleep now so we’ll get well quickly tomorrow. Here, have some warm milk, it’ll improve your sleep.”

They listened to what the eldest said and quickly headed to their bedrooms after finishing the glass of milk.

Of Friendship & Sweet Romance - Chapter 4

Chapter 4

As Jonghyun goes closer to the door, he saw that it was Chriz practicing the dance steps over again. Jonghyun couldn’t believe his own eyes that the girl whom he told off in the afternoon, is rehearsing on her own. In another corner was Tiffany practicing her piano playing. Elise had been practicing hard on her songs and she didn’t get any notes wrong at all. The three guys saw it but they didn’t want to admit that they were touched by the girls’ diligence.

“Let’s just keep our fingers crossed and see if they still make the same mistakes for our next rehearsals with them. I am VERY dead sure that they will.” Onew snickered.

Both Minho and Key saw the hardwork and efforts that the girls have put in to get things going in the right direction and both of them remained silent when they heard Onew’s sarcastic remark about the girls. After Onew, Jonghyun and Taemin fell asleep, Key and Minho had a short conversation with each other.

“Minho hyung, I feel really sorry for Chriz, Tiffany and Elise. I could see them putting in a lot of effort for the performance. They must have been really hurt by the guys’ remarks. Did you notice that right before our food was served during dinner, Chriz nearly broke down as she faced Jonghyun hyung?”

“Yeah, I noticed it too. I believe that they were just nervous that they made those mistakes during the rehearsals. It’s going to be their first public performance after all. Luckily Tiffany and Elise took her out of the room to comfort her. Let’s get the guys to be nicer to them, to make them feel less stressed up.” Minho said.

“We’ll do that tomorrow morning since the guys are all already asleep.” Key replied.

Elise woke up in early the next morning, only to find herself getting a relapse of her gastric problem. She threw up many times before she managed to call their manager unnie. Tiffany came out from her room to look for flu medication and found Elise lying on the sofa, turning pale because of the gastric pain and breaking out in cold sweat.

“Tiffy! I’ve just called manager unnie and she’s on the way here now. I’m in tremendous pain now…”

“Hey! Where’s Chriz?”

“I’ve no idea, haven’t seen her since I woke up.” Elise said, as she put up with the pain.

Tiffany went into Chriz’s room and found her wrapped up in her thick blanket, looking pale and breaking out in sweat.

“Chriz! Are you ok? Why are you all covered up in the blanket?”

Tiffany touched Chriz’s forehead and found her running a temperature.

“Oh dear! This is bad. Chriz is having a high fever, I’m having a terrible flu and Elise is having the relapse of her gastric problem. Let me call manager unnie for help!”

Manager unnie arrived at the girls’ dorm within 30 minutes and Tiffany opened the door.

“Tiffany, you girls better go to the doctor. I’ll get help from your sunbaenims next door to take you girls to the hospital.”

Having said so, manager unnie went to the next door to get help from SHINee. Key opened the door for her and understood the situation.

“Guys! Come out now. Manager noona needs our help to take the girls to the doctor.” Key said, as he sensed the urgency of this matter.

“Right. Onew hyung, Jonghyun hyung and maknae Taemin! You guys are partly responsible for the situation now. If you guys didn’t make the sarcastic remarks at them, they wouldn’t have pushed themselves too hard last night, forgoing their sleep and forgoing their dinner, just to practice their parts harder. Please be nicer to them and help take them to the doctor. Key and I will go with you guys.” Minho said the words right from the bottom of his heart.

Without hesitation, Jonghyun carried Chriz on his back, Taemin offering his jacket to Tiffany and walking with her when she suddenly passed out. Onew and Minho were supporting Elise from both sides. Key and the girls’ manager unnie drove their cars to take the girls to the hospital. Upon reaching the hospital’s emergency department, the paramedics wheeled the girls into the consultation room where Chriz was given an injection to bring down the temperature, Tiffany given medication for her flu that’s beyond imagination and Elise was given intravaneous drip for her gastric problem before they were wheeled into a hospital ward meant for three patients.

Feeling guilty, the boys decided to call their manager hyung to allow them to stay by the girls’ side, with a bit of explanation given to the manager.

“Manager hyung, could we postpone our trainings for today? We are responsible for causing the three girls to fall ill because of our sarcastic remarks we made at them yesterday during the rehearsal. As a result of our harsh words, they pushed themselves really hard last night and we saw it for ourselves on our way back to the dorm when we passed by the practice room. Minho and Key had already told us off for that. We are sorry about it.” Onew explained, feeling bad about what had happened to the girls.

“Since you guys are apologetic and owned up for what happened, alright, I shall allow you guys two days to make up for your mistakes and help the girls’ manager look after them since you are staying next door to them.” Manager hyung said.

“Thanks so much, hyung!” Onew said. “Manager hyung allowed us today and tomorrow to make up for what happened and asked that we help to look after the girls for Manager noona.”

“You guys must apologize to them, alright?” Key requested.

“Alright. We will do that.” Jonghyun said, also feeling bad for what happened.

The guys sat at the corner of the hospital ward and were waiting for the doctor doing his rounds. The doctor came by and Minho asked the doctor when the girls be discharged.

“They can be discharged as soon as they regain their consciousness.” The doctor replied.

“Thanks doctor!”



“Guys, you go have your lunch at the cafeteria first. Minho and I will stay here. We’ll go for lunch when you come back.” Key said.

While Onew, Jonghyun and Taemin were gone, Minho and Key sat by the girls’ bed side and talked softly to the sleeping girls.

“Tiffany, Elise and Chriz, wake up soon, will you?” Key whispered.

“We are sorry for what our hyungs and maknae said to you.” Minho added. “Don’t sleep anymore!”

Being semi-conscious, tears flowed out from Elise’s eyes hearing what the two boys said to them, and slowly woke up from the rest she had, due to the medication.

“Where is this? Where are my dongsaengs?” Elise asked frantically.

“All the three of you are in the hospital. You girls fell really sick this morning and we sent you here when manager noona came to us for help.” Key answered

“Tiffany and Chriz are right next to you, no worries.” Minho said softly. “Onew hyung, Jonghyun hyung and maknae Taemin will be back soon from lunch, because we’re taking turns to take care of you girls.”

Within minutes, the three boys came back into the room and asked both Key and Minho to go have their meal.

“Elise is awake now.” Key said to Onew. “Go talk to her. Don’t worry; she’s a nice person to talk to.”

When Onew heard that, he immediately rushed to her bedside and said: “I’m so glad you are awake! You worried me for so long do you know that? “

“And, I’m sorry for the harsh words I said to you yesterday. Mianhamnida!” Onew said.

“It’s ok, oppa! I never bore any grudge against you.” Elise said. “In fact, I’m touched that oppa actually cares so much about me.” She said with a smile.

“Honestly speaking, we saw you girls practicing late at night at the practice room yesterday after getting late night snacks for our manager hyung... and we were touched by your diligence but I just couldn’t bring myself to say it out loud.” Onew said, feeling embarrassed.

“But…oppa, you just said it!” Elise said in a teasing voice. Onew blushed immediately, feeling shy about what he had said seconds ago.

Meanwhile, Jonghyun sat by Chriz’s bed side and started confessing that he was sorry about his reaction that was uncalled for during the rehearsal on the previous day. He was almost breaking down when Chriz woke up from the injection that made her unconscious for awhile.

“Jonghyun oppa…” Chriz said in the softest voice.

When he heard her soft voice, he immediately hugged her tightly and said, “I’m terribly sorry about yesterday. You know what? We saw you girls practicing at the practice room late last night. You don’t need to say anything, but I want to tell you that you got the steps right!”

When Chriz heard that, she said, “I am also at fault too, so even if you didn’t scold me yesterday, I will still have gone to practice it again because my motto is ‘striving for perfection’!”

But, jonghyun oppa still told chriz not to overwork herself and Chriz was grateful for his concern towards her.

And as for Taemin, he whipped out a big teddy bear which he bought for Tiffany as a gesture of apology and tucked it on her left side so that she could hug it.

“Tiffany, I’m truly sorry for scolding you like that yesterday. I shouldn’t have lost my cool at you, knowing that you are still a trainee who doesn’t really have stage experience.” Taemin said sincerely. “Will you wake up and talk to me…please?”

“ At that very moment, tiffany opened her eyes and said: Taemin oppa, why are you whining when you were talking to me?” Tiffany said, cheekily.

“Tiffany! No, I’m not whining!”

“Yes, you are! I heard it loud and clearly. My unnies can be my witnesses. Right?? And, both elise and chriz responded with a nod.

“OK, I give up… you win! I’m glad you are finally awake and talking to me. Please forgive me for yelling at you yesterday. Pleaseeeeeeeeee?”

“After thinking for a moment, tiffany said: I will forgive you since you gave me this teddy bear as a get well present she grinned.”

“I knew you would! You’re a kind-hearted girl.” Taemin smiled”

“Alright, everything’s fine now! Let’s be good friends from now on!” Minho said with a smile that’s flaming with charisma. “Oh yes, the doctor said that once you girls regained consciousness, you can be discharged. We’ll help you get the procedures done and we can bring you girls back to the dorm.”

“Our manager hyung has allowed us two days off to help manager noona to look after you girls after we owned up for what happened and explanations given.” Onew stated, embarrassed.

“You girls shall have a good rest and we’ll take care of the rest, since we are also your dorm neighbours.” Taemin added.

“We’ll also keep you girls accompany and we can get to know each other better as colleagues, neighbours and friends.” Jonghyun said.

“Thank you, our dear sunbaenims!” Tiffany, Elise and Chriz said, feeling touched.

Chapter 3

After a day of rehearsals and vocal trainings, Elise, Tiffany, and Chriz were finally released at 6.30pm in the evening.

Their faces seems to look more sour than the green lime. They heaved a big sigh as they sat on the chair at the cafeteria.

“Anything went well?” Elise asked, worried about her dongsaengs.

Chriz simply replied.

And even Tiffany had to agree with what Chriz said previously.

They heaved a big sigh again, bigger than the previous.

Even Tiffany, the one who has always been the most cheerful one, lost all her will-power at that point of time.

" I really feel like giving up at this point, why is everyone so mean to us?? “ Chriz stated, on the verge of tears.

“Chriz darling, nothing is wrong, we just need some practice, then it’ll be perfect. Trust me!” Tiffany patted Chriz’s shoulder as an encouragement..

“Tiffany is right. We need and totally deserve some practice. We just didn’t have the confidence we had like the last time we had on auditions.”

Chriz looked at her unnies and tried to stop her tears.

“Girls! Let’s go back to your dorm to have shower. We’ll have dinner soon!” The manager unnie sounded as she hugged the girls from behind.

Upon arrival at the restaurant’s VIP room, both groups exchanged greetings with a formal bow.

“I’m so sorry that we’re late.” Manager unnie apologized.

Elise whispered to Manager unnie “Unnie-ah, aren’t we gonna have our dinner by just ourselves?”

“Of course not. We’re having dinner with SHINee and their manager tonight.”

Something came through Elise’s mind, a bad ‘something’.

They bowed to SHINee and their manager and took their seat. Tiffany had the seat right beside Taemin and Elise took the seat beside Onew, which makes them shy plus extremely nervous after what had happened that afternoon while they were at the practice, as for Chriz, she had a very special place, that is right in front of Jonghyun. Their feet slightly touched each other and Chriz was reminded of Jonghyun’s remark earlier in the afternoon. Key and Minho tried to send an eye-signal to the girls to tell them to make themselves comfortable, but they were too shy to notice their sunbaenim’s eye language.

Seeing Jonghyun’s face makes Chriz feel even more intimidated. She couldn’t take it anymore and tears welled up in her eyes. Elise and Tiffany, saw Chriz’s emotions stirring up within her again, and quickly asked for permission from their manager unnie to get Chriz out the room for a short while.

“Chriz, what’s wrong? Are you unwell?” Elise asked, feeling worried for her dongsaeng.

“No… I’m just… being reminded of my practice with Jjong oppa this afternoon.”

“Chriz, you really can’t get that dance step right?” Tiffany asked.

“Yeah…”

“Let’s sneak out tonight!” Tiffany chuckled.

Elise goes in the restaurant. “I’m sorry, I think Chriz is not feeling good right now, manager unnie, can we send her home?”

“Oh, is that so? Take her home then, ask her to have a good rest.”

“Alright then. Thanks unnie. I’m so sorry that we are not able to join our sunbaenims for tonight’s dinner.” Elise bowed and left the room.

After the dinner, SHINee got home and took a quick rest while chatting with each other.

“Hey, Onew hyung. How’s your practice with Elise?” Key asked

“Huh? She gets the notes wrong almost all the time. I have doubts about her talents.”

“Is that so hyung? But she just didn’t look like one… How about you, Jonghyun hyung?”

“With that Chriz you mean? I was thinking of how she managed to pass the auditions with her dancing like that. Taemin-ah, how’s the girl who had the same name with the member of SNSD?”

“It’s Tiffany, hyung! She? I don’t know if I’m the one wrong or her, her fingers just keeps on crashing into mine! That’s REALLY annoying I tell you. She’s got long fingernails…OUCH!” Taemin answered, feeling pissed off.

Minho who had been playing with the laptop, sees his mobile phone vibrating. He read the text message received on his mobile phone.

“Hyung!”

“Ah! Minho-ah…. Let me guess! Manager hyung asks us to buy late night snacks again right?” Jonghyun raised one of his eye brows having said that.

Minho nodded, “Bingo!!”

The boys could do nothing but grab their jackets and set off to get the late night snacks.

Within 30 minutes, they had a bag full of snacks and headed straight to the company.

“Hyung, here are the snacks” Minho said while handing the snacks to the manager.

“Thanks boys! You guys really know what’s my ultimate favourite! Here’s the money.”

“How can we not know? We buy that almost everyday.” Key whispered.

“Do you guys want to eat too? You guys are welcome to come and join me if you want, but if you are not eating, better go to bed now! You guys still have trainings and practices tomorrow.”

“Alright hyung, anyonghi kyeseyo!”

The boys leaves the room and headed back to their dorm. They went passed the practice room on the way to the exit.

“Hyung, did your hear music playing? I think nobody should be here at night.” Taemin asked.

They nodded, and tried to “detect” where the music came from.

“Hey, the practice room’s light is on. Who could it be?” Jonghyun asked as he goes closer quietly and saw…

Chapter 2

The day for discussing about the contracts offered to the girls and its terms finally came. The discussions and negotiations went well for Tiffany, Elise and Chriz. The girls were introduced to their manager at the end of the discussion and their manager unnie took over from there, bringing the girls to their dorm that happened to be opposite SHINee’s dorm.

“Girls, these are your mobile phones, pick one each. All the numbers you need to know are already in your phones. Call me if you have anything that you do not know. I’ll leave you girls to settle down and unpack before we start planning the areas of the training you will be undergoing in three days’ time. Elise, you’re the oldest among the three of you and you shall take up the responsibility of taking care of the two dongsaeng, Tiffany and Chriz.”

“Alright, I shall be responsible for the two of them then.”

“Thank you so much, manager unnie!” Tiffany, Elise and Chriz said as they gave a bow to their manager.

“Oh wow! It’s Samsung Anycall Bodyguard!! My dream phone!! I’m picking the blue one!” Tiffany squealed.

“Pink one for me! Chriz, the classy purple one is yours then… are you ok with it?” Elise jumps in excitement as she said this.

“The phone is so pretty! I love it!” Chriz replied.

A moment later, as Chriz was scrolling through the phone book, she saw Jonghyun oppa’s number and subsequently, she saw the numbers of the other four SHINee members as well.

“Oh my!! I didn’t even dare to dream of having Jonghyun oppa’s number in my phone book. Am I seeing things or am I dreaming?”

Elise pinched her as a little “revenge” and the pain made Chriz realize it’s all in reality.

“You’re not seeing things and you’re not dreaming my dear, this is the reality we all wanted! Tiffany remarked with a huge smile on her face.

“Tiffy! You sound like one person when you said that… anyway, let’s get down to unpacking our stuff and picking our beds. We only have another couple of days settle down and to finish doing all these stuff.”

“Who do I sound like? Who? Who? Who?” Tiffy asked.

“Chriz’s Jonghyun oppa.”

“Oh yeah man! Jonghyun oppa always asked ‘Is this the reality you all wanted?’ and you do sound like him when you said that, Tiffany unnie.“ Chriz remarked.

The manager of the girls came to their dorm to pick them up at 8.00am in the morning and she drove them to the company to brief them on the training plans and also introducing them to their unnies and oppas (possibly in terms of age and in terms of experience). They were first introduced to their seniors, SHINee, who happened to be their dorm neighbours.

“Annyeonghaseyo SHINee oppa! “ The girls greeted.

“Annyeonghaseyo, manaseo ban-gawoyo! ” SHINee returned a little greeting.

“Elise, Tiffany and Chriz, there will be chances whereby you’ll work with your SHINee oppa and I’m pleased to inform you that they will be the ones guiding you girls along on stage as much as possible.” Manager unnie said to the girls.

“Manager unnie, you are not joking are you?” Elise asked.

“No, I’m serious, my dears.” Manager unnie replied.

Upon hearing this, the girls became nervous as they have always liked and adored SHINee for their talents and their cuteness long before they went for the auditions.

“When will we commence our training then?” Tiffany asked.

“The sooner the better, as long as you girls are ready for your training.” Manager unnie answered.

“Yeah, we’re ready anytime, Manager unnie.” Chriz added.

“OK, good. Let’s start your trainings tomorrow morning then. I’ll pick you girls up at 7.30am tomorrow. Vocal training starts at 8.00am, lunch break at 12.00 noon, dance lessons at 1.00pm, debrief at 5.30pm, you shall be released at 6.30pm for dinner, so that you can have proper rest to prepare your bodies for the next day’s trainings.”

“Yes, m’am!” Tiffany, Elise and Chriz answered.

“Before I forget. You girls will go for your makeover photo shoot session today. That’ll take place after lunch. Here is the address.”

“Yes, manager unnie! Thanks for your arrangements. Gamsa hamnida!”

The three girls underwent vocal trainings, dance lessons and personal grooming courses and three months have gone by since they started training. Into the fourth month of their training, they were given a mission to go on a show with their SHINee oppa and perform on stage with them. During the fifth rehearsal during that month together with their SHINee oppas, Chriz tripped on one of her dance moves that she was supposed to do with Jonghyun.

“Hey you! Why can’t you do the move properly? We’ve rehearsed the dance together many times already and yet you still can’t do it properly! What a dimwit!” Jonghyun remarked, sarcastically.

“I’m sorry, oppa! Let’s do it again.” Chriz swallowed the humiliation she suffered and answered humbly.

Meanwhile, both Tiffany and Taemin were rehearsing their four-hands piano performance, Tiffany’s fingers kept crashing into Taemin’s. It sure annoyed Taemin and he said, “You’ve done pretty well in our previous rehearsals and what’s with you today? You’ve made so many mistakes in today’s practice!”

Mianhae Taemin Oppa! Tiffany said feeling a little embarassed”

She also thought to herself: “ I can’t be distracted anymore! This is SM entertainment, the place where I always dreamed of going to.”

At the vocals rehearsal room…

Onew and Elise had to do two duets for their stage performance and they chose the songs “Beauty & The Beast” and “One Year Later”. It seemed that something had been blocking Elise’s mind and she kept getting the music notes wrong. She felt really embarrassed but Onew simply made a sarcastic remark at her, “How did you pass the three auditions when you kept singing the wrong music notes?”

“Mianhamnida, Onew oppa! I was just a little nervous… I’m so sorry!”

“Alright. Take a ten-minutes break and we shall continue.”

He walked to the other corner of the room for a breather and left Elise alone on her own. Ten minutes had passed and the two continued with their practice. These were not the end of the humiliations that Tiffany, Elise and Chriz had to face.

Of Friendship & Sweet Romance - Chapter 1

Chapter 1

There were three girls who had always shared a relationship so close like sisters and they were Tiffany, Elise and Chriz. Throughout all these years, what kept them together as a matter of fact is their deep passion for singing and dancing. Soon after hearing news of the auditions organized by SM Entertainment, they decided to go give it a shot at the audition held in Seoul.

The day for the audition finally arrived and the girls were looking forward to it.

While waiting outside the audition room, the girls met two new friends Krystal and Amber, who were already a part of SM Entertainment. Amber noticed that the girls shared the same fashion sense as herself, went over to them and said hello.

“Yo girls! Are you here for the audition?” Amber asked.

“Yes, feeling a little nervous now as we’re still waiting for our turn for the audition.” Chriz said, with a nervous smile on her face. “My name is Chriz, and my two unnies here are Tiffany and Elise.”

“Annyeonghaseyo, manseo ban-gawoyo!” Elise and Tiffany greeted with a little bow.

“Nice meeting you girls here too, my name is Amber and my friend here is Krystal.” Amber said. “It’s great to meet people with similar tastes for fashion.”

“Nice meeting you girls here!” Krystal said. “All the best for your auditions! It’ll be so nice if you girls passed the auditions and become part of us in SM! We’ll look forward to the good news! Take a deep breath, do your best not to let the stress affect you, girl.”

“Yeah, we’ve got to go for our practices now. See you girls around!” Amber said, as she waved goodbye to the girls.

As soon as Amber and Krystal went off for their practice, Elise and Chriz became tensed once again, and Tiffany started with imitating Taemin’s aegyo to help lighten the mood as she knew that her maknae and unnie felt tensed once more. Irritated, Chriz exclaimed, “Kyaaaah! Could you please stop doing that for once and quieten down? Everyone is looking at our direction already! We know that you are crazy over Taemin but seriously, you failed terribly in trying to imitate him!”

Upon hearing what Chriz had said to her, Tiffany’s confidence level dropped immediately, but she still managed to put on a strong front as usual and proceeded for the audition.

Three weeks had already gone by when the girls successfully made it through the first two rounds of the auditions and they continued practicing hard and taking care of their own well being, to prepare themselves for the final audition.

“Woah… I can't believe we are just one step closer to realizing our dreams do you know that?” It just feels like a dream.” Elise said.

Chriz suddenly gave Elise a pinch.

“OUCH!! Why did you do that Chriz? It hurts!”

“That’s for reminding you that this is not a dream but for real.” Chriz replied with a mischievous grin.
After their final audition that determines their fate, the girls were constantly checking their emails everyday until this very minute...

“Girls!!! The results for our final auditions finally released!!! Come and check it out! Quick! Quick! Quick!” Tiffany squealed in excitement.

Nervous yet excited, both of them went over to Tiffany's laptop to read the email.
And it wrote:

"Dear Miss Tiffany Tan, Miss Elise Su and Miss Chriz,


Thank you for showing interest in joining SM Entertainment and we are very pleased to inform you that you all have successfully passed through our final audition and we will be contacting you again with regards to the contract that will be offered to you. For the part on the quick update of your statuses, you are now SM's newest batch of trainees for this year.

Upon reading the email presented right in front of them, the three thrilled girls cuddled together and squealing in excitement. Tiffany, Elise and Chriz’s dream journey of entering SM Entertainment started in this manner, with much more to come ahead of them.
